2 Bedroom Unit Bought Sight Unseen from Internet Photo

Thank you Lorraine for the recent staging of my property located at King George ave Epsom. I was blown away by the outcome. It was an average 2 bedroom unit. We painted the interiors white and gave Housedressings a blank canvas to work with.

My brief was to provide a sense of space and ambience which would appeal to a broad range of buyers. This is a testament to the power and influence of professional home staging. This unit had been on the market for quite some time and just wasn’t getting any interest. The owner contacted Housedressings and we transformed a blank ordinary canvas into somewhere people could imagine themselves living. Preparing a home for a garden wedding

Background: Chris and Jim were getting married, in just six months, in their garden. The house was in need of redecoration and de-cluttering – between them they’d accumulated 20 years of stuff. They’d also just been let down by their colour consultant. They called Lorraine and gave her free range to transform the home in time for their nuptials.

Home Staging Case Study

It was by chance that I met Lorraine Wilson from Housedressings Ltd. The timing was perfect. I just happened to have put my property on the market and it was looking so unappetizing. We’d already had an Open House and the interest shown was uninspiring. I had nothing to lose and decided to give Lorraine a chance to show her talents and stage the property for me.

Getting a Rental Property Ready for Sale

Dear Lorraine, Thank you so much for the way you prepared my rental property for sale. After my tenants moved out, it was looking even bleaker than it had with their furniture in it. With the thoughtful and stylish way you placed furniture, ornaments, rugs and artwork throughout the house, it gave it a much stronger appeal.

The Overseas Seller

I initially chose Lorraine from her web site because the fact that she had moved into house staging from a retail background appealed to me. For me this indicated that Lorraine would be likely to bring a practical and realistic approach to her work, and would be used to working to budget and material constraints along with set deadlines.

Throughout the time my house has been dressed whilst for sale, I have been impressed with Lorraine on several fronts. Firstly, her quick and clear communication is a great plus. As I am currently living outside of New Zealand, I have been appreciative that Lorraine has kept me informed at all stages, and answered questions by return email.
